Hamza Choudhury looks to other options as his life in football looks to come to an end at Leicester this summer. Previous interest from Southampton and Newcastle never materialized in a move and now Championship football could be an option.
The England U.21 international looked as if he could be looking at a future with Leicester, but in a way just being overlooked in recent seasons when other players are fit and ready to play.
This season became a bit of nightmare as he only enterend the field on 12 occasions, 6 of those coming in Premier League. He has been in and around the bench for most games, but as you see of his stats not being the preferred player.
He showed this season that he also can play as a central defender laying deep and with controll on his distribution being a good cover when that was needed.
Choudhury is of Bangladeshi-Grenadian ancestry and makes no disguise of his background. Important as very few of his relations gets this far in professional football.
The 24 year old has 7 England U.21 caps and his quality is of course tackling, pace and abilty to make a good pass in difficult situation and of course being that battling central midfielder doing the needed hard work in this area of the pitch.
A player that might have come to his limit as a Leicester player and time to move on as other options must be looked at to get more game time.
West Bromwich is said to be interested to take Hamza on loan, something the club needs to consider with a contract running until next summer. It will be difficult for Baggies to bring in Hamza on any other solution and we just have to wait and see if this move will happen.
