Kairo Mitchell is born in Leicester and was a product of the Leicester City academy playing alongside Harvey Barnes, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Hamza Choudhury among others as his career made a different swtich from the day he left the club in 2017.

Kairo has done his route and still probably feels a bit away from his previous life as playing in the 5th tier might not be his final goal in football.

For Kairo Mitchell to score today must have a been a bit of a revenge as his equalizer from a corner set-piece again kicked Brendan Rodgers in the teeth as his team looks to go on from last season and show soft marking and fatal errors as goals are conceded.

Kairo was probably the happiest man from Leicester today as his Notts County won this pre-season friendly and a number of their players really showed their presence.

Since he left Leicester five years ago he has been living a life in the lower tiers as his first move was to Nuneaton Borough. He joined Leicestershire outfit Coalville Town and scored 21 goals in 57 appearances before a new move was made, joining Dartford, playing once in the FA Cup before a new move came around as he joined Kings Lynn. He has since been signed by Chesterfield and early last season made his move to Notts County. He has not yet been a regular goalscorer and struggled a bit, with only 1 goal in 26 appearances for The Magpies.

At the age of 24 he is still early in his career and if he will climb the leagues with Notts County who knows but his return to Leicester must have been one to remember for the player who also play full international football for Grenada. He has to date been capped 13 times and scored 2 goals since his debut against Panama back in October 2017.
