Internationals such as Germany’s Robin Gosens and England’s Luke Shaw are both players linked with Leicester. Gosens is currently looking for options as his Inter career is not going as well as he would have liked. Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen is at this moment the most likely destination.

Luke Shaw might also be looking for a more steady situation as his Man Utd career has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride, but still regarded as a top left back choice for club and country. Shaw is also a player that would be in a frame to attact Everton and West Ham, but his most likely option is to stay at Man Utd and sign a new deal.

Brendan Rodgers called on Luke Thomas midweek when James Justin got injured and we all know he will be out for a long period of time, could last until the end of the season. This would be ideal for Luke Thomas who was again playing his part vs. West Ham and of course being eager to show what he can do.

We all know Luke Thomas from the past and his experience at such a young age could see him use this opportunity to really cement his place in the team. The 10 capped England U.21 international is still only 21 years of age and to this day played 42 league games for the club, and will most certainly add to this tally also after the World Cup.

Ricardo Pereira and Ryan Bertrand are other back alternatives, but both are out with injuries and might need time to get back to full fitness, so to see Luke Thomas not getting enough chances from Brendan Rodgers looks impossible.

It will be interesting to see how this left back situation will be solves, but we will at least not have any new faces in before the start of January, and hopefully Luke Thoams uses his chances as the only proper left back alternative at present.
