James Trafford and Zack Steffen are both on the books at Man City, but at this point it could be a season elsewhere, with Trafford also one said to be on the radar.
Zack Steffen were said to be a close target for Leicester and believed to be the first new player to be signed by Enzo Maresca, but since that rumour appeared new information has emerged.
Steffen has just completed surgery on a knee problem and will not be available for the opener of the season and probably not back in action before October, then to see him be signed by Leicester would be a huge surprise, so we will just wait that move out.
England U.21 goalkeeper James Trafford has also been mentioned as a possible addition, and the 20 year old could be one to watch, spending time on loan at Bolton last season, and showing grand promise and having a progress.
Steffen had the same experience at Middlesbrough, spending the season on loan at The Riverside with good performances and said to be ready to make a permanent move away from Man City. But if not fit and ready to go, surely Leicester must look elsewhere to have their squad in the best shape possible for the season opener.
A number of other candidates has also been listed among Leicester targets. Bayern Munich experienced goalkeeper Yann Sommer was earlier seen as a possible addition, but that rumour has silenced and with Leicester being relegated we would probably see the Swizz international fade out of the picture.
Daniel Iversen and Danny Ward have their doubters and Alex Smithies is not seen as first team alternative, but a cover if needed. All three current first team squad goalkeepers at Leicester do have time left on their contracts and not seen anything suggesting they or on the way out.
Often when you rate players you need to understand carefully what you have, and not buy or sign players that are on the same level or below in standard. Ward and Iversen probably will get a chance to impress new manager Enzo Maresca, but would not be surprised to see a new man coming in.
