Patson Daka scores for Zambia as Danny Ward and Wales are knocked out in Euro playoff qualifier vs. Poland

Another round of internationals as former and present Leicester relations were involved in all the exciting action. Patson Daka scored for Zambia in their 2-0 home win to Malawi.

Danny Ward kept a clean sheet for Wales during the full game all into extra time, but with a 0-0 result it all had to be settled in a penalty shoot out as Poland came out 5-4 winners. Charlie Savage, playing for Reading and born in Leicester, son of former Leicester midfielder Robbie Savage, was an unused sub in the game.

Jannik Vestergaard and Victor Kristiansen played the full game for Denmark as they defeated Feroe Islands 2-0. Mads Hermansen was an unused sub in the friendly venue.

Wout Faes came in as a late sub in the 2-2 draw at Wembley vs. England. Faes entere the field in the 83rd minute, and was involved when England equalized in stoppage time from a Jude Bellingham goal. Youiri Tielemans and Timothy Castagne were both in the Belgium line-up from start. Ben Chilwell played the full game for England, James Maddison coming on in the 74th.

Harry Souttar played the full game as Australia defeated Lebanon 5-0. They are know a step further to World Cup qualification, as they have reached the third round of their qualification campaign. The out of favour Leicester defender is under pressure to get more game time at club level.

OH Leuven midfielder and Leicester related, Suphamat Muanta, came on as a 2nd half sub in the clash with South Korea, being defeated 3-0 at home. Nampalys Mendy played 84 minutes in the Senegal 1-0 home win to Benin.

Andrei Kramaric was one of the goalscorers in Croatia’s 4-2 win vs. Egypt. Kramaric came on from the bench in the 68th minute, scoring the third goal in the 77th. Nigeria were defeated 2-0 away to Mali having Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho in the line-up from start, Ademola Lookman came on as a 2nd half sub.

Yunus Akgun came on in the 61st minute in a terrible 1-6 defeat to Austria. When Akgun entered the field the result were 1-4, so he was on the pitch for the two late goals scored from the opponent.

Northern Ireland captain Johnny Evans was ruled out of the recent round of internationals, then missing the sensational 1-0 win away to Scotland. Liverpool defender Conor Bradley scored the special goal on the evening of this friendly event. The brother of Harry Souttar, John Souttar was an unused sub for Scotland.

Abdul Fatawu played from start in Ghana’s 2-2 draw away to Uganda. Fatawu was taken off in stoppage time to almost complete the full game for his nation, as he add one more cap to his tally. Callum Doyle came on as a 2nd half sub in the England U.21 Euro qualifier vs. Luxembourg, coming out 7-0 winners on the day,
