The reasoning for comparishing Faniel Tewelde with Jude Bellingham is the maturity of the player and his presence at the age of 17. The way he is making an impact at his Norwegian top tier club Odd, makes him stand out as one special. He is playing wide left up front in a well founded 4-3-3 set up.
He is a Norwegian u.18 international, so surely one to have been noticed. If his progress continues, soon he will be a prospect for clubs abroad, possibly in Holland, Belgium or Denmark, who are often nations using Norway as a base for recruitment. Tewelde could also track interest from Bodo Glimt and Molde. The two major clubs in Norwegian football that in some way can compete with foreign transfer competition.
A player earlier suggested as a possible target for Leicester was Jorgen Strand-Larsen, then at Dutch club FC Groningen, later joining Celta Vigo in Spanish La Liga in August 2022. Celta paid €12.40m for his services, two years earlier Volendam paid Sarpsborg €1.10m. The value of Strand-Larsen today is €20.00m, so at this time possibly out of reach for Leicester.
