Match Pack: Away Fixture, Championship, Plymouth #PLYLEI, your exclusive preview update

The massive backlash vs. Millwall makes this away fixture at Home Park one that becomes a must win, being given a major gift in the previous round with both Ipswich and Leeds not winning. This looks a struggle for Leicester as they do have a lot on stake and the game at The Den never gave anyone high spirit. Callum Wright will be looking for a chance to impress against his former club.

We believe Patson Daka and Abdul Fatawu both will be back in the line-up, out with Jamie Vardy and Yunus Akgun, possible also to see a start for James Justin, coming in for Callum Doyle, but it looks a bit more uncertain, so we will give it to Callum Doyle, no other changes is believed to happen other than this. We would love to see Conor Coady in the team, but it will take a lot to drop Wout Faes in this latter stages of the season.

Plymouth is far from safe and with just one win in their last five games they are two points above the relegation zone, so it will be a fight for both clubs in this game, as Leicester again of course are favourites and hopefully will drag this one in their own favour.

Wikipedia

Plymouth Argyle Football Club is a professional association football club based in the city of Plymouth, Devon, England. The team compete in the EFL Championship, the second level of the English football league system. They have played at Home Park since 1901.

The club takes its nickname, The Pilgrims, from an English religious group that left Plymouth for the New World in 1620. The club crest features the Mayflower, the ship that carried the pilgrims to Massachusetts. The club has predominantly played in green and white throughout their history, with a few exceptions in the late 1960s and early 1970s when white was the colour of choice. A darker shade of green, described (by some) as Argyle green, was adopted in the 2001–02 season, and has been used ever since. The club has yet to compete in the Premier League or the Football League First Division that preceded it, the city of Plymouth being the largest in England to have never hosted a top-flight men’s football team. Plymouth Argyle are the most southerly and westerly League club in England and the nation’s only professional club named Argyle, read more

Kit:

The Greens’ superb new 23/24 home kit with a unique design, once again superbly crafted by partners PUMA, features Argyle’s traditional green colour along with gold piping and V-neck, as well as the logo of Principal Partners, Bond Timber. The Argyle crest and the famous PUMA cat logo have also been picked out in the green and gold colour combination to complement the overall look of the design.

The 23/24 home shirt features dry-Cell performance technology designed to wick away moisture and to keep you free from sweat. The kit is made from 100% recycled materials, excluding trims and decorations and comes in a regular fit.

Honours: Plymouth Argyle are one of the major clubs to not have been at the highest level, but often seen in the 2nd tier of English football, as they are now. They have never played in a Wembley final in the EFL Cup or FA Cup.

A few trophies from lower leagues winning the championship in the 4th tier.
