Leicester travelled to Austria with a group believed to be 32 players. A number of surprises are not in the party. Victor Kristiansen, Bobby De Cordova-Reid, Harry Souttar, Sammy Braybrooke, Michael Golding, Tom Wilson-Brown and Mirsad Ali are not seen.
We mentioned before that it was not clear whether Conor Coady, Wilfred Ndidi, or Bilal El Khannouss were going to leave. If it had been clear, they would have definitely stayed behind.
Conor Coady has earlier been linked with Rangers. They have allready signed two central defenders. Emmanuel Fernandez from Peterborough for a fee of €2.90m has arrived. The other one is Nasser Djiga, coming in on loan from Nottingham Forest. A move for Coady looks very unlikely at this point.
Victor Kristiansen had to leave the field in the pre-season friendly vs. OH Leuven. He looks to be out for a while. He has also been linked with a move away. However, since he is injured, he will not be an option for a transfer at this point.
I am surprised not to see Michael Golding among the travelling party. If he is not there, he might also have some injury issues. He is one that could be an option for a starting position.

Leicester will travel to Zalaegerszeg in Hungary to play their first pre-season tour friendly tomorrow vs. ZTE. Will be interesting to see and get certain hints from that starting line-up. Mads Hermansen is a question mark. He is in the squad, but one believed to be on the way out. So the goalkeeper choice tomorrow will of course give certain ideas of who will be the preferred choice.
Early on, it was interesting to listen to James Justin and Hamza Choudhury. They have had a couple of days in Austria. They talked about their first impression of the new manager Marti Cifuentes. They are eager to show their worth and be ready to take on board what is coming.
Transfers are of course of interest. We believe we will see a few in and out before the season starts. However, hints are already there and should not be ignored. Cifuentes knows what level players he brings in must be at, to push for promotion.
