A lot of happeninings in the late hours before the transfer window shut yesterday. Jamie Vardy surprisingly signed for Cremonese, being linked with almost every other club in England and Scotland. The start to the season for his new club has been phenomenal, two wins in two games and up there in the top with Napoli and Juventus. Will be exciting to follow JV9.
Josh Knight joined Portsmouth from Hannover on the 21st of August. The former Leicester defender is back in England after a year in Bundesliga 2. Knight (27) has earlier played for Peterborough and Wycombe.
Sammy Braybrooke and Nathan Opoku will be out on loan at Newport County until the end of December. Both players will be missed in the U21 set up. However, playing regularly at League Two level is better for their development.
Robbie Savage is leading Forest Green Rovers in style. The Green are top of the table with 17 points in 7 games. They have won five and drawn two of their games so far. Scunthorpe are currently fifth in National League. Oli Ewing has been in action in five games so far and it looks good for the former Leicester midfielder.
Arjan Raikhy and Ben Grist were both in the starting line up for Boston in their 0-3 defeat to Truro. Boston are currently 18th in National League with only 6 points after 5 games.

Ben Chilwell has made a full move from Chelsea to Strasbourg. Chilwell has not featured for The Blues since Enzo Maresca took charge. He spent the end of last season on loan at Crystal Palace. Odsonne Eduoard has moved from Crystal Palace to Lens. The French forward had returned to action for Palace. However, he has not been a regular starter. Therefore, a move away seemed very likely.
Facundo Bounanotte has made an exciting and surprising loan move from Brighton to Chelsea. He is a player with a huge potential. Still very young and one can flourish in the correct environment. Jeffrey Schlupp came on as a sub when Norwich defeated Blackburn 2-0 away. So far only one start since moving to Carrow Road in front of this season.
Callum Doyle made his Wrexham debut in their strong 2-0 away win to Millwall. He has recently joined from Man City. He was out on loan at Norwich, Leicester, Sunderland, and Coventry in previous seasons.
No move happened for Ademola Lookman. He will continue to play for Atalanta at least until January. He will most certainly be involved in AFCON.
Former Leicester academy player Ryan Beswick joined Quorn this summer from Nuneaton Borough. He has joined as manager but also registered as a player. Former Leicester attacker Billy Kee are also on the books of Quorn FC.
