Leicester City will be in the spotlight in the coming days, weeks, and months, not due to their on field performances, but because a takeover is likely to happen.
The supposed date for bringing bids forward to the Citibank has passed, with rumours of Turki Alalshikh being lined up, but also seeing experts having large doubts about him as a good alternative for this football club.
Football Insider correspondent Evan Shaw brought an article to the surface today, describing the picture of this takeover, explaining why there are major doubts about two names, being mentioned as potential winners in the race.
Shaw has interviewed Keith Wyness, giving his thorough views on this special matter. Wyness believe Neil Lal has no chance of taking over the club, somthing we also believed would be the case, with him not going through the correct channels in his approach. The former Everton executive Keith Wyness has his thorough views on the matter. He previously told Football Insider that prospective Leicester owner Neil Lal has “zero chance” of sealing a deal to buy Leicester. Lal’s intention to buypass Citibank, who are brokering the sale, shows that he is not “serious” about taking over. Wyness has also previously questioned whether Lal has access to enough wealth to help bring Leicester back to their former glory.
Wyness also makes his worries clear about Turki Alalshikh, describing his temperament as a major worry. He would rather see a more balanced person to be the ideal buyer of the club. Khun Top and his father both have a presence of the total opposite, but at this time it might be more important to get someone in that actually can get this club off the slide and starting a climb back to where this club belong.
The fact that he also have health issues and have been treated for cancer, also being a controversial figure. He has earlier been linked with a potential takeover at Bristol City and Derby County.

Ownership in football is a difficult issue, with more often than the opposite, seeing fans being against the owner and blaming them for everything that is wrong, whenever results are negative and not in the region of what is expected within the fanbase.
So far, after the deadline, Leicester City have not announced anything regarding a sale of the club, with no new owner being lined up. Neil Lal and Turki Alalshikh, are the two names being talked about, regarding a potential takeover, but at this point, no official updates regarding a potential sale.
