An update on international football from a Leicester point of view. Louis Page and Jake Evans are out on duty in Qatar. Both players have been involved in the tournament. You can also see our excitement to see Alex Scott named in the England squad for the first time.
Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott has been called up to Thomas Tuchel’s England squad. Scott was born on Guernsey in the Channel Islands. If he debuts, he follows Greame Le Saux and Matthew Le Tissier. Both are from the Channel Islands and full England internationals.
Seeing his name in that list of players highlights Leicester’s correct judgment. They were mentioned several times in the rumour mill about getting him in at some point.
After a long range of clubs being mentioned interested he finally made his move from Bristol City in August 2023. He had played 83 league games for The Robins before his move to Bournemouth.
Bournemouth paid a fee of £25million for his services. He has since been on the field for The Cherries 53 times. He has scored 2 goals. Being under the wings of Nigel Pearson at some point as well as playing alongside Andy King and Matty James.
Making the step from the #YoungLions to the #ThreeLions for the very first time 💪
