Why Leicester Must Trust Young Talent like Jeremy Monga

We are often talking up Jeremy Monga, believing he is a special player. Jeremy is only 16. He looks fantastic and, with enough game time, can be a solid contributor to special wins for this club.

Overlooking him is a major fault and he is much more than a random sub. To see Silko Thomas entering the field before this jewel, is strange management and tragic decision making.

Not because Silko Thomas is a bad player, but he is far from the capacity of Jeremy Monga. We do not rate the former Chelsea academy player at the same level as Monga. No one from Real Madrid, Barcelona or Tottenham are following that player and his progress. They are all looking at Monga.

Jade and Jobe Bellingham are clear examples of how you should build on talent at an early age. Wayne Rooney and Kobie Mainoo are other examples. Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi were in the frame of playing regularly at first team level as young teenagers. Lamine Yamal also a player to compare with.

Certain Leicester fans do not see the talent of Jeremy Monga and his full capacity. The key for Marti Cifuentes is to balance out his team. He needs to create opportunities for the young players. Louis Page and Lorenz Hutchinson are other players to watch closely in this frame and setting.

Marti Cifuentes has a good track record on how to get the best out of young players. Why he struggles so far at Leicester is a major concern. The trick is to build a great momentum. However, without the correct setup, he might find the introduction difficult. At times, experienced players perform far below the expected standard. He needs the correct environment to introduce young players in a positive setting.

Man City is the role model at the moment. They are giving young players a chance, and all these players are between 17 and 19. Why Jeremy Monga has to wait to be a steady regular at Leicester is a sad picture to watch.
