Leicester City Transfer Rumours: Issa Doumbia, Harry Winks and Wout Faes, What Next?

Freezing out players when you know they are quality might not be the best strategy. You might need them. It also may not be the best way to show how much you would like them to leave. Leicester have two current examples in Wout Faes and Harry Winks.

This type of strategy has not achieved the desired outcome. No club seems ready to make bids for the two. Harry Winks and Wout Faes are on heavy wages. Currently, they are not playing and no return on investment. This will decrease prices and also be questioned by clubs showing interest to sign them. Players who intend to leave instead of working hard and keeping their presence might not have the bast cards.

Harry Winks is eager to find a club closer to his home in the London area. This decision is due to his family situation. Wout Faes has over time expressed a desire to play in a top tier league. However, no club is currently mentioned as eager to sign him.

There is some interest in Bouba Soumare, but he is just come back from an injury. Monaca and Fenerbahce are clubs earlier being linked. At the moment we have not seen the eagerness from these suiters to say they are close to an agreement.

Leicester are said to be in a race to sign Venezia midfielder Issa Doumbia. The 22 year old Italy U21 international has a strong physical presence. He is currently playing in Serie B and would be a very good addition. Venezia are eager to keep their player, but money talks. A fee of £5million is said to be the valued price. For a club in this division, that is a massive amount to turn down.

Mali are out of the AFCON after a 0-1 defeat to Senegal in the quarter finals yesterday. Woyo Coulibaly has been part of their set up. He is reportedly planning a return to Leicester. This move would provide Leicester with extra cover in the right back position. Coulibaly is currently with Sassuolo on a season long loan, said to be shortened to end this month.

A move for Callum Wilson could be something to consider. Leicester is said to have shown interest. There are still a lot of other suitors in a fight for the former England international.
