A lot has happened since we last made an update on ex players and loan men. Elliott Moore has finally found himself a new club, signing for Northampton. He left Oxford early in the season and had a time out of the game, missing a move to Saudi Arabia.
Will Alves has rejoined Huddersfield and will be with The Terriers until the end of the season. Alves (20) had his spell shortened picking up an injury and then moving back to Leicester for a period. He has been on the fringe sin rejoining early January.
Leicester sold Brandon Cover to Rotherham. The Jamaica international became a one game wonder at Leicester. He was on the bench vs. Charlton, but on deadline day joining The Millers for an undislcosed fee.
It’s been an interesting start for Christian Fuchs at Newport. The former Leicester defender took charge at Rodney Parade in November last year. He has since joining won two, lost eight and managed a draw three times. Newport are second to bottom, but only three points behind Shrewsbury on safe ground.
Sammy Braybrooke had a bitter sweet experience when returning to Newport with Chesterfield. The Exiles had a good day and managed a great 2-1 win, with Braybrooke (21) left disappointed going home with zero points. Nathan Opoku played up front for Newport in that game taking place on the 24th of January.
Former Leicester coach Ashvir Singh Johal, is no longer in charge at Morecambe and departed by mutual consent on January 30, 2026. He had just managed 5 wins in 28 National League games in charge.
Interesting to follow Jake Evans who has joined Northampton on loan in January. So far no massive impact, coming on fromt the bench in two league games, both defeats. We will follow the young attacker and his progress with The Cobblers as they are struggling for survival in League One.
Ipswich are currently fourth in The Championship. Kasey McAteer was last involved when winning 2-0 vs. Bristol City on the 20th of January. George Hirst and Cedric Kipre are two other former Leicester players both involved on that day. Kipre (29) has been influential over the last months playing from start. Hirst and McAteer has not managed to cement a regular place in the team.
Whytenshave FC is not a normal Sunday League team. They tend to get former Premier League stars to appear. Danny Simpson and Danny Drinkwater are two former Leicester players who have turned out for them. Emile Heskey is also mentioned as a player reported to have joined.
Morecambe Football Club is excited to announce the signing of forward Chris Popov on loan from Leicester City until the end of the season.

Chris Popov joined Morecambe on loan in January. He has since moving to level five been involved in three games, two defeats and one draw. No goals or assists so far for the attacker. He has started two of the games and one coming on as a sub. He has joined up with a long list of former Leicester players. George Thomas, Admiral Muskwe, Josh Eppiah and Ali Sesay are players who has been in both camps.
Harvey Barnes has been in good form for Newcastle this season. 12 goals in 37 appearances so far in all competitions. Newcastle are currently 11th in Premier League. They reached the semi’s of the Carabao Cup. Still involved in Champions League, reaching the knock outs and will play Aston Villa on the 14th of February.
Wout Faes left Leicester and joined Monaco on loan. Since arriving at Stade Louis on the 13th of January, he has played two games, both starts. A draw and a defeat so far at his new club.
Bilal El Khannouss played in the final of the AFCON for Morocco, but had to see their opponent Senegal win on penalties. Senegal managed the unlikely after first to have walked of the pitch. They eventually returned to play on and in the end became champions.
Leicester are out searching for a new manager with former players and managers on the list of the bookies. Gary Rowett, Nigel Pearson and Enzo Maresca are all seen as potential candidates for this special and very hot seat. Adam Sadler has returned to Leicester to assist Andy King after the departure of Marti Cifuentes.
Leeds are currenlty 16th in Premier League. James Justin looks to have settled well since moving to Elland Road. He has been very much involved lately, scoring his first goal for The Whites. He scored the goal when Leeds drew 1-1 vs. Everton. He also scored a goal in the FA Cup win vs. Derby.
Facundo Bounanotte has also joined Leeds. He made his loan switch from Brighton in this January transfer window. He was earlier in the season on loan at Chelsea, but it never worked as well as hoped with little game time and the move cut short.
Bouba Soumare has allready played twice for his new club Al Duhail. A draw and a defeat so far. Both starts as he hopefully will settle at his new club in Qatar. Al Duhail is in the lower end of the table in and eight position among twelve teams.
Julian Carranza has so far been involved in three games for Necaxa. The first two as a sub, scoring once. In his last outing, and his first from start, he was sent off in the first half after picking up two yellow cards.
Celtic are third in the Scottish Premiership. Martin O’Neill is back in charge for the second time this season. He will be acting as manager until the end of the season. Kasper Schmeichel is also back in goal and in action in the 2-0 home win vs. Falkirk on the 1st of February. Kelechi Iheanacho came off the bench in the 84th minute.
Former Leicester player, Tawanda Maswanhise has scored 18 goals in all competitions for Motherwell so far this season. He is in high demand and recently returned from AFCON to continue his season at Fir Park. He was rumoured to leave with a number of clubs, including Blackburn and Celtic, being mentioned as a new destination.
