Leicester are said to be chasing attacking options, strange not to see any Scandinavian League players being linked. We have earlier talked up Daniel Karlsbakk from Sarpsborg as a potential target. The 23 year old used to play for Herenveen in Dutch Eresdivisie, but returned to Norwegian football last year. In his 43 league games so far he has scored 23 goals.
Another player to watch is Woyo Coulibaly’s team mate in the Mali national team Sory Diarra. Diarra (26) has this season showed fantastic form at the second level in Norway. He is currently in his last contract year at Haugesund, been at the club since 2023, 43 goals in 88 league games. Would have been a fantastic signing for Leicester.
Karlsbakk is valued to €4.50m and a long term contract at Sarpsborg. Diarra is less than €1m and soon out of contract, so why these two should be looked at is obvious, they score goals at a good and proper level every second game.

The Norwegian league is physical and in good progress as the teams and academies are getting more and more professional, being able to compete in Europe, when getting qualified.
There are a lot of interesting talent around. Players are hard working, and are mostly on modest money compared to English clubs. Leicester can possibly offer better deals than mot clubs in Norwegian football, so to look at these two prospects would not be foolish.
Diarra has scored 23 goals in 16 league games this season in OBOS Ligaen, tier two in Norwegian football.
A third option is Malmo FF forward Erik Botheim, who is also one that knows how to score goals. He is valued to €3.5m and one player that also have a great goal avarage pr game. He will be leaving in this window and would have been great quality if Leicester were calling for his services. He has earlier played for Bodo Glimt and in Italy with Salernitana.
