According to Danish media, Jannik Vestergaard has decided to retire.
His last game in professional football was seen last season, being part of the squad experiencing relegation to League One.
His time at Leicester was turbulent, from being a hero to a major villain, depending on who was the manager.
Vestergaard played 101 league games and scored 5 goals in these outings. He was capped 59 times at full international level for Denmark.
He still had a year left of his contract when this was terminated earlier and before this season.
Danish media had not seen this coming, believing Vestergaard would be playing on in their Superliga, instead he has now decided to retire at the age of 34.
