This would be the ideal scenario, but unfortunately, there are no new updates from the club at this moment. We believe that something is going on and sources close to the club, describes the situation as, interesting.
Large depths can’t be held for long, with certain parties, talking up a potential administration being possible if the club can’t find anyone to take over.
Kieran Maguire and Charlie Methven has both been vocal on different Leicester fan podcasts and given their honest view on those different bidders and the valuation of this football club.
With the ongoing situation at Man City and them grabbing every headline, we would be surprised if anything will come on air regarding Leicester, but still there are movement around the club and people are said to have shown interest.
We believe that Indian investor and consortium leader Neil Lal will be out of the race, as he has decided to avoid going in talks via the correct channels, that would see him totally off mark and not in a good position if he decides to make an approach to buy.

After Todd Boehly sold his shares in Chelsea, rumours were that he would see Leicester as a potential place to invest, but such interest has never been confirmed. Instead he looks to look at other business affairs, but his interest in Russian oil company Lukoil’s international assets, looks to be over. News today indicates that his consortium Carlyle has pulled out, making the deal unlikely.
So why aren’t fans of this football club discussing a potential takeover to run it properly with a local board of directors, as was done in the past? Before the Thai owners, few or none of the previous owners were very popular, and they seemed distant, with Milan Mandaric being a rare exception.
So how could Leicester become a fan driven club with a board put together with people who knows how to run it properly. Hardly any fan of huge integrity and some sort of footballing knowledge has come forward to give a proper view on the situation.
The owner wants £200million for the club. If 10.000 fans of this football club, which is a number below half of the people who have signed up for a season ticket, could invest £20.000 each, suddenly the club could be fan driven. If you take on local companies to go in and support and spoonsor this takeover, it could be done in a very short time.
A proposal needs to be made to the club owner along with a plan to complete the deal quickly, based on today’s foundations. It’s strange that no local fan-driven consortium has come forward, especially if they can engage companies in this investment group.
We just have to wait and see what comes forward, but the idea of foreign ownership and people who are just after the honey of Premier League temptations, is not an ownership, who will last for long, much better with a local foundation, and a model, who will see this club run by their members and supporters. This should also see a plan and strategy build on the academy, and not being a club depending mostly on transfers, which is high risk.
We certainly hope that this will not drag out in ages and that a group could come forward and build a financial base and a foundation, with a proper plan of driving this club forward, healthy and in balance with their fanbase.
