Russell Martin kept his eleven from Doncaster, he also kept his new formation and got rewarded with a magnificant display by his team. Leicester opening the scoring after just 4 minutes with a special strike from Will Alves.

Then to score again after 16 minutes, with a splended strike from John Lundstram, gave the team the freedom and confidence needed to get the momentum in play and positioning as you need to get things correct.

Leicester kept the pressure and played through the Bromley defence, being open as the home team had to expose themselves. Sammy Braybrooke had a splended chance to score late on in the first half, being played through with a beautiful pass, but his attempt on goal was saved.

Then in stoppage time another chance was converted when Sammy Braybrooke found Luke Thomas who had sprinted up and hit the net with a good finish. Leicester were 3-0 up at half time.

Coming on second half, Bromley had made four changes and they started lively, putting Leicester on a bit of pressure, but the pairing of Caleb Okoli and Harry Souttar looks a concrete unit, as Russell Martin hopefully can build on the duo this season and not having to change again. Warren O’Hora completed the back three today with a solid game.

After 10 minutes out in the second half, Leicester had control again and when Sammy Braybrooke found Emil Riis with a great pass, and the latter converted in front of goal, Leicester were 4-0 up and made this a great evening for the away supporters.

Russell Martin decided to make three changes in the 72nd minute, taking off Braybrooke, Page and Riis, coming on Chaplin, Smallbone and Cullen. The game was in real won, but the group coming on, made everything a bit slower and instead of having a new run of chances, iniative was given away and again why Admir Bristric is not on the bench to be that player to come on for Emil Riis, is questionable, Liam Cullen is not a striker option for Leicester at this point.

Later out in the second half, BDCR and Harry Howell came on for Will Alves and Kamari Doyle, to just see out the half and secure the 4-0 win which was done in 72 minutes. To see those changes done is no problem having a 4-0 lead, and again a great day at the office for Leicester, showing their strength, again a great game from captain John Lundstram, leading this group on, which is great to see after such a short time.

Next up is Luton away, hopefully Russell Martin continues in this settlement and formation, today was a major step up from previous games, keeping a clean sheet and scoring four goals, who can ask for more.

Leicester will play Luton next, and hopefully this will positive trend will continue with this shape and fashion, Russell Martin looking to have found a formula that works.

Positives

  • Four great goals scored
  • Harry Souttar and Caleb Okoli is a concrete and strong defencive partnership, today also O’Hora made a great impression
  • Sammy Braybrooke showing his ability, splended footballer

  • Credit to Russell Martin for keeping up this set up as it suits the players and gives Leicester a much more sharper offensive approach
  • Emil Riis again on the scoresheet
  • 75% possession leading to 4 goals scored, fantastic

Negatives

  • When changes are done, we would hope those moves would give the team an edge, today none of the players coming on made this a better team, that is a worry
