Norwegian 4th Division Club Travelling to Leicestershire to Play Barwell FC, Train and Drink Beer

To play at the fifth tier in Norwegian football is a level of amateurs. A number of former greats are down in the basement, and dreaming about a return to something more suitable. One of these clubs are Larvik Turn. They used to be a top tier team in the 1950’s and also a league champion three times during those years.

Larvik Turn has a rich history and has produced notable players like Gunnar Halle, Tom Sundby, Morten Vinje, Hallvar Thoresen, Kristoffer Norman Hansen, and Kornelius Norman Hansen, who have all played or play professionally at high levels, both domestically and internationally.

Ipswich Town and current Premier League player, Sindre Walle Egeli is also a son of the city of Larvik, but has no past at Larvik Turn. His brother Vetle Walle Egeli is currently playing for the neighbour city top elite side Sandefjord Fotball.

Discover Leicester: The 3-Year-Old Racehorse Taking Wins

Team Lunden has purchased the 3-year-old Leicester. Leicester was out in a routine race a few weeks ago, where it came home in a good time of 1.19.

On Friday, Leicester had been given track six over 2000 m. In a field of eight horses. A first prize of DKK 8,500 was up for grabs in the race, and there were prizes for the five first-placed finishers with a recorded time.

Football clubs of Leicestershire and their place in the Non-League pyramid as we take a trip through the tiers

Jon Stevenson currently with Melton Town is one that we remember from the first team at Leicester. Early in this century playing a part from 2000 to 2003. He moved around to several parties. He is still active at the age of 39, turning 40 in October.

Melton Town play in the United Counties League Premier Division North and this is the 9th level of English football. The club is based in Melton Mowbray.
