We did believe that Brendan Rodgers would do changes to his line-up from the game vs. Newcastle, and that was done, Wilfred Ndidi replaced Youri Tielemans. Ayoze Perez were also among the starters.

The response from the players couldn’t have been better with a firing start and as we all could see, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall pushing forward and opening the Liverpool defense with a massive drive and passing the ball nicely behind Alisson, 1-0 to Leicester after just 4 minutes.

We did warn for a difficult afternoon at King Power, but to see such a dreadfull start was not expected. Leicester lined-up the same back four as against MK Dons, and their solidity a few days back never came to the surface this time.

A terrible mistake, resulting in a penalty, from Daniel Amartey after a disaster pass from Wout Faes, made it easy for Newcastle to go in the lead after just 3 minutes with former fox Chris Wood converting from the penalty spot, as Danny Ward made the first move, and showed why he is not rated as a good penalty stopper.

One move looks certain another goes soft as Tielemans to Arsenal and Maddison to Newcastle are discussed

Looking at the line-up and squad vs. MK Dons you probably get a few answers and also according to late talk from Brendan Rodgers, makes it difficult to see a move for James Maddison and Youri Tielemans being done in January.
