Why this target has turned red hot, Leicester in battle to sign player

Claude Puel can of course not speak about targets he will have in January, but one player is now turning red hot and only one contender to concern about and that is Leeds United, so will this move happen.

Alaves winger Ibai Gomez is the player that constantly in the two last weeks has been mentioned more and more as a Leicester City target and possible signing in January, so who is this special player.

Ibai Gomez is a 29 year old, who has been with Alaves since 2016, and he scores goals from the flank, 15 in 77 league games. He is born in Bilbao and has a past at Athletic. He joined in 2010, previous to that he had a life with clubs such as Sestao and Santutxu.

Despite being older than Riyad Mahrez, he could a replacement for him in that wide position, where Leicester at the moment are struggling to get things correctly, and Puel has switched and turned players in and out.

He could fit the Leicester City wage system and he is also a player that will come raltively cheap our could even be able to join with another player going the opposite way, seeing Vicente Iborra as a possible swop to get this deal done.

Fousseni Diabate, Demarai Gray, Marc Albrighton, James Maddison and Rachid Ghezzal are all players tried on the flanks this season, not really being able to settle themselves in, and Puel are constantly searching for answers.
