Leicester favourites in transfer chase that also could involve Newcastle and Spurs

Leicester City are often in the rumour mill being linked with a number of players. The latest name to be mentioned is Norwich City youngster Todd Cantwell. Cantwell (22) has, despite The Canaries relegation, been on rising form with a number of impressive performances.

He is a modern type of player that goes forward and can be an attacking option and also appear in different positions in midfield. Brendan Rodgers is looking for new recruits, but to finance the moves he needs to make changes and also let players leave.

Kelechi Iheanacho has been linked with a move to Newcastle United with a possible £25million move to St James Park as an option. Demarai Gray is another player that has been seen in the rumour mill lately linked with a move to Spurs.

Another interesting link today is Schalke 04 midfielder Weston McKennie who is also linked with a number of other Premier League clubs.

Brendan Rodgers looks certain to be able to hold on to Ben Chilwell and James Maddison, those two looks certain to stay with Leicester City, but it might be other players that will follow Andy King and George Thomas out the door, with the two being released earlier in the summer.

William Carvalho and Adam Lallana are still interesting options and as we can see are players that have the type of experience that will be of great importance to be able to compete at the highest level also next season.

The Premier League transfer window will open on the 27th of July and be open until the 1st of October with the 2020/21 season possibly starting up in mid September.
