This implies that while the league will have commenced, teams may still be conducting their business activities in the transfer market – including the Foxes, Leicester City.

Teams in England can sign footballers from one another beginning from this date, although transfer deals with foreign clubs will officially commence on July 1.

In Scotland, their transfer window runs for the same dates as England.

Other teams in Europe, Germany, Spain, and France will be finishing up on the 31st of August as well.

As a result of the global pandemic in the year 2020, clubs had their transfer window ending on October 5, but transfer deals between Premier League and EFL clubs were allowed through to the 16th of October.

The English top-flight league has been considering another transfer window extension between top-flight teams and those in the English Football League. However, that decision hasn’t been made.

According to reports from Italy, Leicester City have made a 20million euros bid for versatile Atalanta wide man Robin Gosens.

It was claimed in May that the Foxes had agreed a fee estimated to be £21.6m – but that the fee was rising after he netted his 10th goal of the campaign.

In addition, Leicester City are reportedly considering a surprise move for Brazilian Philippe Coutinho, as per MundoDeportivo. The move is expected to reunite the South American with Brendan Rodgers, the coach that signed him at Merseyside club Liverpool about nine years ago.

Definitely, Brendan will be trying to reinforce his team this summer window, after finishing 5th on the Premier League log.

Perhaps with a few more assists, he could end up getting UEFA Champions League football with his team sooner than expected.

Coutinho is being connected with a possible transfer to Leicester once again.

The future of the former Liverpool star at Spanish side Barcelona seems to be in doubt, with the window now wide open.

Spanish outlet MundoDeportivo suggest that the Brazilian could be sold this summer window and names the Foxes as a possible destination.

The playmaker was linked with Leicester City last year, along with Tottenham and Arsenal, but he ended up staying at Barcelona.

Coutinho played under current Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers at Anfield, who sold him to FC Barcelona in a £142million transfer deal in the winter of 2018, having initially signed him to Anfield from Serie A giants Inter Milan.

His move to La Liga has not gone as expected and Coutinho was loaned out to Bundesliga club Bayern Munich in the 2019-20 league campaign, which was covered with odds from high roller online casino at the time.

The Bundesliga giants opted not to make the temporary move permanent due to the reported demands of about £104 million.

Subsequently, he was brought back to FC Barcelona under new manager Ronald Koeman but later struggled with injury problems.

Reports has since claimed Barcelona could sell him for a cut-price fee, with Everton and Bayern Munich also credited with an interest in him.
