Leicester were never believed to be the front chaser of Philippe Coutinho just said to have had a look in on a move that surprisingly might see Steven Gerrard and Aston Villa as winners of the chase.

Newcastle were said to have thrown enough cash on the table to get the player but according to a special transfer source tweet from Fabrizio Romano we do believe they are losing again, The Magpies.

Romano do know what is running and his sources for information would never let him down as he gets almost every move correct. This time it was a surprise to see Philippe Coutinho joining Aston Villa, but with a link to Liverpool and Steven Gerrard it looks reliable.

Leicester looks far from any deals to be done at this moment and most of the stories coming out about certain players they tend to be more in line to join in the summer and does not have anything to do with this special transfer window.

Times are difficult at Barcelona and Philippe Coutinho looks to have the same situation at the club regardless what man is in charge with both Ronald Koeman and Xavi looking to off load the player with the heavy wage bill.

We will see if Philippe Coutinho will be the needed injection to get Aston Villa further up the table as they are keen to establish momentum and become a steady eddie in the Premier League.

We have again and a fresh and updated list of players linked with Leicester and as always sorted it out in our hot, cool and cold sections with Coutinho set to be the first player on the lost list.
