Jacob Wakeling is the most recent loan departure and he made his debut this weekend for Barrow AFC. The forward has so far played in the U.23 set up and not been much involved in the first team set up. Sam Hughes got a few inlcusions on the bench, but he never got the chance to taste Premier League, this weekend he was back in action for Burton Albion.

Sam Hughes is still a Leicester player, but not really rated as highly as we would like the academy players to be as we have seen Josh Knight, Elliott Moore and Darnel Johnson all being seen too light.

Sam has since joining Leicester from Chester been a good and reliable source in the U.23 set up, and has also been at Salford United on loan, playing 8 games. Last season he played 14 league games for Burton Albion and scored twice. This season he returned to the team in this last fixture vs. Gillingham.

Burton Albion are currently 12th in League One, and the strong 3-1 win away at Gillingham really shows how they are battling on under their manager Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink.

Sam Hughes will hopefully continue to impress and keep him self away from injury problems as this has upset his progress and at the age of 24 he might see a return to Leicester and the first team as impossible.

Jacob Wakeling joined Leicester in 2020 and has been scoring goals in the U.23 set up after being spotted for Alvechurch scoring 5 goals in 7 appearances. He got a perfect start on his loan move making his debut vs. Colchester this weekend helping his team to a great 2-0 away win. Wakeling left the field in the 2nd half being 1-0 up at the time. He joined Leicester from Alvechurch and the forward will fast give us a flash from the past with two former stirkers at the club also joining from this non-league club, Nick Cusack and Alan Smith.

Leicester players out on loan at present are Dennis Praet (Torino), Tyrese Shade (Walsall), Thakgalo Leshabela (Shrewsbury), George Hirst (Portsmouth), Callum Wright (Cheltenham), Jacob Wakeling (Barrow) and Daniel Iversen (Preston).
