Josh Eppiah had just returned to action for the U.23’s and yesterday agreed a move on loan to join Northampton.

Over the years it’s been a level gap between the two clubs but the close neighbour have taken a number of Leicester players to their camp. Names such as John Farrington, Trevor Benjamin and Paul Culpin are all three players with history at the two clubs.

Josh Eppiah spent last season with sister club OH Leuven and did his job in 11 games scoring 1 goal in the Belgian top flight. He has also been involved at Belgium U.21 level.

He also been in the first team picture and of course part of the U.23 set up for the last couple of seasons and hopefully this experience will give him even more experience at first team level.

Eppiah together with Wakeling and McAteer are three academy graduates moving out on loan to build more ground as they hopefully will return with a higher level getting more of the first team spirit.

We wish Josh Eppiah all the best with this loan experience. Northampton are currently competing in League Two and pushing for a place to get promoted currently in a 5th place position and hopefully Eppiah can be important as they try to return to League One action. He was named on the bench for todays action vs. Salford and made his debut coming on.
