Nottingham Forest are on a good run at the moment under their new manager Steve Cooper. Leicester did feel this heavy after being humiliated at City Ground in the FA Cup. One of their hottest properties is James Garner currently on loan from Manchester United.
He looks to be totally out of any first team picture at Manchester United who are looking at more finished articles to build a team for the future.
James Garner was on loan at Watford last season and had an impact as The Hornets pushed for promotion. He has this season been among the best players as Forest has softly moved into promotion contenders.
Garner (21) would be the ideal recruit to a midfield area at Leicester and he also does the runs that will see assists and goals coming along. So far at Forest he has scored four and assisted five goals and if Youri Tielemans or James Maddison moves on Leicester do lack this type of player.
He is also relatively tall (1.86m) and of course a young age that will most certainly see him as one player that in a few years will add England caps to his U.21, U.20, U.19, U.18 and U.17 caps. He is also a previous captain in an England shirt doing the duty with the U.17’s reaching the semi finals of the 2018 European Championship.
James Garner has been involved in first team action at Man Utd, playing twice in the Premier League, debut vs. Crystal Palace in 2019. Also played in the Europa League and a number of friendles on pre-season tours, but it looks as he could be a player considered sold or at least given a new spell out on loan.
There are a lot of uncertainty regarding the midfield area at Leicester with Dennis Praet and Nampalys Mendy both looking for more first team action and linked with moves away. Hamza Choudhry is neither satisfied with his situation. Soumare looks to have problems coping with the level of Premier League and if Maddison and Tielemans are looking for other options Brendan Rodgers has said he will look at “fringe” at the top and James Garner would be one to watch in that category.
