As earlier reported we had news about Jakub Stolarczyk and a possible loan move to Fleetwood. The move is now confirmed, as well as a new contract signed.

Stolarczyk is a top talented goalkeeper with a bright future in front and as we all could see during his previous loan spell in Scotland with Dunfirmline. He made 13 appearances for The Pars.

This will be his 2nd spell out and give him more experience as League One first team football is something he will benefit from. This is also in line with the signing of Alex Smithies as we do also have Chituru Odunze, Brad Young and Arlo Doherty as promising young goalkeepers in the youth and development set up.

George Hirst is likely to join Portsmouth as a deal looks close either on loan or as a permanent deal. Hirst would trigger a certain fee as his talent is one to rate. Most likely possible for Pompey to reach an agreement of a buy if they get promoted and also add on’s to consider.

Brendan Rodgers do have a number of decisions to make as he cannot just keep all players at the club and sensible moves must be done to trim the first team group and not keep players on. Hirst returned to Leicester in pre-season but was not involved in any games despite being said to get a chance to show what he was worth.

A move back to Portsmouth after his grand loan spell last season looks as a good deal for all parties, George Hirst, Leicester and Portsmouth.
