Jonny Evans reached 100 cap milestone for N Ireland in their Nations League game vs. Greece yesterday. He has been a great servant for his country since making his full debut back in 2006.
The 34 year old defender has since 2018 been at Leicester and been a steady key player at the club from his start and this season also being made captain at the club.
To reach 100 caps is a massive amount and also playing for a small nation like N Ireland you will not be able to play on the biggest stage as contrasts for a professional footballer comes to present.
The game was played vs. Greece and the result showed how N Ireland struggles under their current manager, a former fox, Ian Barraclough. He used a 5-3-2 set up with Evans in the middle of defence as they conceded three goals and only scored once to see themselves defeated 1-3.
The game was played in Athens. N Ireland finished 3rd in their group and will continue on level C for the next round of Nations League. Blackpool forward Shane Lavery scored the goal for N. Ireland.
