Former Arsenal and Manchester City right back Bacary Sagna has stated that he is “not worried” about Leicester’s form in an exclusive chat with Lord Ping.

The Frenchman, who played alongside current Leicester forward Kelechi Iheanacho at Manchester City said: “We know that they are having a bad time at the moment, but I am not worried for them because they have good players. I think they need to find the balance in the team.”

He also urged Leicester to remain calm and patient despite being rooted to the bottom of the Premier League and urged the club to keep the same values that makes them “special”. He said: “Leicester are a solid club. Football is football and it is very difficult to always progress.

When there are problems at a football team, that is when you see everything. When things go wrong, you have to keep the same values and principles that made the club special in the first place. I think Leicester need to remain calm and be patient. Patience is the key to success.”

Leicester have had a difficult start to the season. You know Kolo Toure very well, Brendan Rodgers’ assistant, and Iheanacho. Why do you think they are struggling at the moment?

Do you think that Brendan is the right man to get them back on track?

I think the Leicester story is quite similar to that of Liverpool at the moment. This is a team that has shined for years and punched above its weight year after year. They came from The Championship to win the league. They became one of the most solid teams in the UK. Under Rodgers, they finished fifth in consecutive seasons, just missing out on the Champions League and they won an FA Cup.
