Caglar Soyuncu is close to agree his expected move away from Leicester. Atletico Madrid has since last season been linked with the Turkey international and this January could be the transfer window to see a deal completed.
Jannik Vestergaard and Dennis Praet also looks close to an exit to save their careers and not be forgotten. Both great players in the correct environment, but frankly not players suited to the top level of Premier League.
Everton defender Michael Keane, who spent the 2012/13 season on loan at Leicester from Man Utd, is said to be one player considered as an alternative signing competing with Evans and Amartey for that other position alongside Faes.
Harry Maguire is also seen as a possible addition, but hardly on a permanent deal from January. To see Harry Maguire return would be fantastic, but we could settle with Michael Keane as well, who has come under a bit of pressure at Goodison Park with new defenders signed in Conor Coady on loan from Wolves and James Tarkowski on a free from Burnley.
Keane is on the radar of many clubs and at present Nottingham Forest looks as the front runner. The idea of moving out on loan is to play on a regular basis. We will see how this progress, but with “Cags” on the way out, Evans not really a player with a long term future and Amartey also dwelling about his future, you probably will see a central defender chase being on at Leicester this January.
TCF rates Caglar Soyuncu very highly, and his top level makes him one of Europe’s best, but inconisstancy and terrible errors at times have seen Brendan Rodgers “not satisfied” and has this season pushed Daniel Amartey, Wout Faes and Jonny Evans in front of Soyuncu.
A move away has been on for a while, but now that looks concrete and a done deal with Atletico Madrid as “Cags” will be moving on to a new league and country on his footballing journey.
