Will Enzo Maresco be trapped like Brendan Rodgers and in real how much is he involved in current transfer deals

The talk of Brendan Rodgers denying the fact that several of his players were on the way out, makes a manager look strange, when those moves goes through and becomes reality.

So will Enzo Maresca do the same, probably, as his talk regarding Jamie Vardy looks odd after he has been linked with moves to Saudi and Turkey.

We all hope that words from the press are not twisted and rewritten as they often can make a truth out of somehting that maybe is not the same as a guarantee.

Jamie Vardy has not made any official talk about his Leicester future at all, and if a good move to MLS, Saudi, Turkey or another deal comes to the table, why should he sit out his contract and become a player on the fringe, which is largely a concern for him after a tragic last season, not really contributing much and watching as Leicester got relegated.

Today we can see Leicester linked with Swansea Dutch forward Joel Piroe, said to be one possible forward to replace Vardy. Patson Daka and Kelechi Iheanacho are both linked with other clubs, and also Harvey Barnes being mentioned as well as a departure.

Conor Coady and Harry Winks are two players also close to moves in, both beeing seen in the rumour mill long before Enzo Maresca joined the club. We believe the only move at this point that can happen without a previous interest is Zack Steffen, who is a player Maresca knows well from his time at Man City.

Certain loan moves from Man City could also be on the chart, but still no real indication yet on how the transfers are organized from the point of the manager appointment.

We certainly hope that Enzo Maresca has said he would like to keep Jamie Vardy and if Jamie himself decides to move on, then he should be allowed to, but it will be interesting to see what will happen before the season kicks off.

The last time Leicester appointed a manager in the summer was when Claudi Ranieri came in, we all know he had little or no involvement in spotting Ngolo Kantè, Gokhan Inler, Shinji Okazaki, Yohan Benalouane, Christian Fuchs, Robert Huth and Nathan Dyer, but of course made the best out of most of those signings.

We believe Martyn Glover and his team, as well as Jon Rudkin are running the transfer business at this point and doing the calls with Enzo Maresca a bit in the shadows so far, not really having the hands on the wheel just yet. But again of course being informed of the talks giong on and getting more and more involved as his squad comes together.
