Jamie Vardy looks to have the ability to show up and do the job needed, when most had the belief he was finished.
When he missed his massive opportunity to score just minutes before his first goal yesterday, messages and shouts from the stand said it all.
Leicester put massive pressure on Watford with their patient possession play, like a steam train just doing the job, going to the next station, and smoothly getting there, to that final destination, without losing patience.
Vardy became a treath too much for Watford, scoring his first goal in the game after 76 minutes, being there inside the box as his goal opened the scoring.
Watching him scoring the 2nd was like a flashback from his best years as the 36 year old, turning 37 in January, has done so many times. Passing the goalkeeper with top speed and tackled to the ground as his penalty shot later found the net.
The job now, as we believe Vardy will start in the next game, is to get the number 9 in action and pushing for goals early on as his presence is shown before Enzo Marseca decides to make a change.
Great to see and hear fans celebrating Vardy goals, that’s the way we like it.
