Enzo Maresca used to play for West Brom. Before the game at The Hawthorns yesterday he was met by his former team mates Paul Raven and Darry Burgess, handing over a honorary cap to the Leicester manager.
It was an emotional return for Enzo Maresca as his only club in English football was West Bromwich Albion. He played for The Baggies from 1998 to 2000, adding up a total of 47 games, scoring 5 goals from his midfield position.

Okazaki left Leicester in 2019, adding up 114 league appearances and scoring 14 goals, with that goal vs. Newcastle in the PL winning season, being the special one.
Enzo was special at West Bromwich, as a young up and coming Italian who had top skills, but also knowing that his time at The Hawthorns would be brief, as the top clubs of Europe were in chase for his signature. He was sold to Juventus for a record fee of ÂŁ4.3million. The manager at the time was former Leicester boss Brian Little.
The two team mates from the past, Paul Raven and Derry Burgess, are two players that probably became important for Enzo and his development. Burgess, a defender, played for The Baggies from 1989 to 2001, a club legend with 332 league appearances and 10 goals during his days at The Hawthorns. Paul Raven is similar, as he played for West Brom from 1988 to 2000, playing 259 league games, scoring 15 goals.
A happy reunion for men of football, a special day for Enzo Maresca, and in the end, he had the luck and fortune to bring with him three valuable points from another Championship game.
