Harry Souttar (25) is a pivotal player for his country Australia. He has been in good form, scoring a number of vital goals in his latest internationals, but still his time at Leicester must be said, so far, to have been a massive dissappointment, not being able to cement a place after his move from Stoke.
It was talk of him leaving in the summer, but no move happened and being fourth in the packing order after Jannik Vestergaard, Wout Faes and Conor Coady has seen this campaign as troubled time for Souttar, not really getting much game time, limited to just a couple of games in league and cup.
He is a player of grand capacity, but looking at it all from a neutral setting Leicester do have players in that position above him in quality. Denmark, Belgium and England internationals, Vestergaard, Faes and Coady are players that must be rated as the “Ossie” know looks to end his subs bench existence.
Celitc and Rangers were both seen as potential clubs to join in the summer. Brendan Rodgers, know with Celtic, signed Souttar from Stoke, and he would be a grand player to add to his current set up. Local rival Rangers are also said to be keen on Souttar, with his brother John playing for them.
Sad to see that Harry Souttar cannot find his place at Leicester, and for both player and club it will be a good move to see him either leave on loan or get a full transfer move in January.
The third alternative that could be an option is of course a move abroad with clubs in Italy and Germany seen as potential candidates to join. His height and special goalscoring skills for Australia are noticed around in Europe as well as his phenomenal play in the Qatar World Cup a year ago.
