Leicester have, according to The Guardian, sacked women’s team manager Willie Kirk (45) after an investigation into an alleged relationship with a player.

This is of course to understand as such relationships can be seen as unproper.

Sadly for both parties this has come to an end, because looking at it from a sporting perspective, the women team has taken huge steps under the leadership of Willie Kirk. First in a role as director of football from July 22 until taking over as manager in November the same year.

The Leicester team looks to be on a good path, with a squad more solid than ever. We are of course saddened to see the end of this project, but if this is the best decision and solution for the club, you have to move forward with that in mind.

The team, has since Willie Kirk’s suspension, been leaded by assistant Jennifer Foster and team coach Stephen Kirby.

Leicester are in the semi-final of the womens cup and to date 9th in the league after 17 games played.

The club have later today made an official statement regarding this matter.
