On the last day of the transfer window we had news about a possible swop deal between Leicester and Wolves, seeing Conor Coady in a return to Molineux, Craig Dawson moving in the opposite direction.

Conor Coady looks to have been keen on the idea, but according to Ruud van Nistelrooy, not really seeking a move away. The story of Craig Dawson is one to read with a careful eye.

He is one of those invisible men, not often grabbing headlines, instead doing the jobs few or no one really notice, being there to get the result in the correct direction. Dawson (34) started his career at Radcliff Borough, moving to Rochdale in 2009. As a centre back scoring 10 goals in 46 league games before being snapped up by West Bromwich a year later.

He spent 9 years at The Hawthorns, playing in a side that had a good record in Premier League, many of the games in a backline with Jonny Evans beside him. In 2019 he moved to Watford, then a Premier League side, later to make his next move to West Ham, first on loan and later permanent, being part of a very successful period under David Moyes.

Leicester are struggling heavily defensively at the moment, and if Wolves decides to terminante his contract, then it will be possible for Craig Dawson to sign for a new club as a free agent, not being stopped by a transfer window close.

Craig Dawson might be a player to call on in this run in as his long run in the Premier League top flight at clubs such as West Bromwich, Watford, West Ham and Wolves.

Leicester are not the only club to take notice to his situation, also allerting Everton and West Ham, who knows of his qualities and could see him as a short term addition, especially David Moyes knows of his qualities, being his boss at West Ham.

Some might remember his goal for Watford vs. Leicester back on the 20 June 2020, An overhead kick showing his elegancy and eye for a goal, he has scored a total of 46 league goals during his career. An impressive tally of goals at England u.21 level as well, 6 in 15.
