Then to see Tomoyuki Doi given a chance to test himself looks very interesting. Doi (27) has left Brondby, being there on a test, and instead moved to Leicester to show his worth.
So who is Tomoyuki Doi? He is currently on contract with Singapore club Geylang International. He has scored 38 goals in 24 appearances for his current club. He joined Geyland after a short term stay in Albanian football. He earlier scored 19 goals in 21 games for another Singapore club, Hougang United.
He is currently the leading goalscorer in world football, with a shocking number of goals scored. We do not know the level of the game he is involved in. He has been scoring at a high frequency in the Singapore league. Doi had a short spell back in Japan in 2022-23, playing for Fujieda at level 2.

He is said to have joined Leicester on a trial. Hopefully, anytime soon we will find out if this player has the standard to perform at a higher level. This will be easily decided as he gets tested alongside the Leicester players in the next weeks.
Leicester need to act with smartness over the summer. They should not use money on too many fringe alternatives. They must be certain the player has something to offer.
We do believe this is certainly worth a trial. However, his struggles in Japan and Albania could be a warning sign. He is 27 years of age, another reason to be sceptic. We will soon find out what this is all about.
