Ruud van Nistelrooy is certain to stay on as Leicester manager for the remaining games of the season. The fact that the club is relegated at this point makes speculations about his future obvious.
He is on a long term contract and at this point nothing is certain about anything. As we have earlier pointed out, he is very much part of the running. Four good results in the four remaining games would give him a chance to stay on.
He will of course be under pressure and names of other candidates are rolled out. The current list is getting longer and longer. The latest candidate to be added is Bristol City manager Liam Manning. Manning took Bristol City into the play-offs.
Since the Thai owners took charge, there have been strange management appointments. Even in the years before, these appointments were odd. The club and ownership does not have strategic football pattern and structure in place. There has not been a real dynamic approach to be seen.
The former Southampton boss, Russell Martin is the favourite to take the job at this point. Sean Dyche and Danny Rohl are the other two top candidates.
Lee Carsley, Danny Rohl and Russell Martin are amongst the names on the shortlist to be the next Leicester City manager.

It’s increasingly likely Ruud van Nistelrooy will leave before next season.

Lee Carsley is also a name that in recent days has been mentioned more and more. Davide Ancelotti is also in the running. The list of potential candidates is one interesting.
At this point, nothing is certain.
