Russell Martin will bring with him a number of new people, one of them could be Matt Gill. Gill (44) has been with Russell Martin at Swansea and Southampton. The two also played together at Norwich. Gill used to operate in a midfield position playing professional for Peterborough, Exeter and Notts County among his clubs. He had a 17 year long career lasting from 1997 to 2014, before moving on to coaching.
His last name is Gill. This is also the surname JV9 had before changing it to Vardy. When one legend walks out, maybe his legacy is taken on by someone who carried his previous last name.
