Fotis Ioannidis and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain are two names we have seen linked with Leicester. Both would have been interesting additions to the squad. Both players are under contract at their current clubs. Oxlade-Chamberlain does have a year left on his deal, Ioannidis is on one running another three years.
Ioannidis (25) is the current captain of Panathinaikos and in his prime. We believe Leicester must recruit from this level. This is essential if they are to find quality that provides correct value straight away.
Oxlade-Chamberlain (32) is a very versatile player and one who would be a valuable asset to a Leicester squad.
Chamberlain is back in training with Besiktas. He played 18 league games for his Turkish club last season.
There are expectation for something to happen and it is believed that contact has been made with Oxlade-Chamberlain. He also have interest from Premier League, so we just have to wait and see.

We have seen a number of players linked with Leicester. Jeffrey Schlupp is one, but he has moved to Norwich. Another was Josh Windass, he left Sheffield Wednesday to join Wrexham. A third, central defender, Michael Keane has agreed a new deal at Everton. Jaydon Carbon joined Middlesbrough from non-league club Oxford City.
There are no real hot rumours at the moment. Aside from Asmir Begovic, there is still hope that Leicester will look for a striker. They may also seek a versatile midfielder before this summer transfer window is finally closed.
Fotis Ioannidis has been linked with several clubs in this transfer window. SSC Napoli, Sporting CP, Ipswich LOSC Lille are those mentioned the most. SSC Napoli was recently mentioned, with a 38% likelihood of transfer and a last reply date of April 26, 2025. Sporting CP was also mentioned, with a last reply date of April 19, 2025. There might be potential in this happening. However, it would be wise to see a sale or two occur at Leicester before such an approach is made.
