Elliott Moore is out of contract and left Oxford United earlier in the season. He did see a proposed move to Saudi club Al Kholood falling through. He was supposed to join up with former U’s boss Des Buckingham.
A number of League One clubs have joined the race to sign him. We believe the proven central defender, who played with Ben Nelson last season, consider other options. He would be a good additon at Championship level.
Elliott Moore is born in Coalville, and a player with a long life at Leicester in the past. He has also represented England at U.18, U.19 and U.20 level while on the books here. He was partly loaned out to OH Leuven. He played 61 league games for the Belgian sister club. Moore joined Oxford in 2019 for an undisclosed fee.
Since his move to Oxford, he has been the club’s captain. He guided them to promotion. They also secured a safe place in the Championship last season. The 28 year old could have joined either Mansfield or Blackpool at this point. However, he has not yet made his mind up about his next destination. Blackburn has also been mentioned as a potential new club.
Striker Michail Antonio could be back in the mix for a Reggae Boyz call-up as he’s closing in on a deal with former English Premier League champions Leicester City.

Leicester are in a situation that will potentially see an open spot for a central defender. Wout Faes looks to be leaving, Harry Souttar could also be a player looking for a move.
We believe that Marti Cifuentes will make one or two additions. There could be potentially be three. Aaron Ramsey looks to be out for a while and a return to Burnley should be considered. Harry Winks are on the list of potential departures. So gaps to fill will certainly be there.
There are several players to bring in on loan. You also have free agents who are looking for new clubs in January. We are waiting on a message regarding Michail Antonio. The latest update is from the Jamaica Observer. They still believe Antonio will return to football. Antonio was close to join Brentford before the season, but an injury stopped him at that point. Abdul Fatawu is today linked with a move to Bournemouth. If that goes through then it would be a gap to fill for Leicester. Antonio would be a suited replacement, as he can play both wide and in the middle.
Elliott Moore and Michail Antonio are experienced players, both could offer something to Leicester. We just have to wait and see. Hopefully, there will be players coming in to strengthen the environment. They should have a positive approach when entering the door.
Leicester were also seen linked with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlein in the summer. He has left Besiktas and also a free agent at the moment. He is training with Arsenal to obtain his form, but will not rejoin the club. He feels ready to start playing again. Jesse Lingard is a fourth alternative, also a free agent, who is eager to get back in action. Leicester need a number 10. A fit Lingard would be a nice addition to this young group of players.
