Bouba Soumare is set to join Qatar based Al-Duhail FC. His time at Leicester will be up in the summer anyway. This is surely good news for both parties. Leicester getting a fee as well as having a large reduction on their wage bill.
Bouba Soumare joined Leicester from Lille in 2021 for a fee of ยฃ17million. In total so far 87 league games. He has also been on loan at Sevilla, playing 28 league games for the spanish club.
His time at Leicester has been a great disappointment, not really managing to adapt to the English game. He has been very inconsistent and a lot in and out of the team, not really settling under any of the managers.
Brendan Rodgers signed him more or less as a cover for other players, something he was not really happy with. At the time he arrived Leicester had other and better options in his position.

We wish Bouba Soumare all the best on his journey. Strange to see him moving to Qater as it is not what we would have expected for a player at his age.
He was close to become a France full international, but with a move to Qatar that is potentially not the most ideal place to be to get a new chance to get back in that contention.
