We reported yesterday that the Russell Martin appointment would be happening imminent. According to sources with the latest information, this will be happening.
Russell Martin is at present on holliday in Mallorca and said to arrive in Leicester very soon. According to serious sources this is a done deal. Nothing confirmed yet from the club, and before that statement is done, nothing is 100% certain.
Today you can see the odds on Russell Martin are 5/4, with Dave Challinor on 4/1. Darren Ferguson is seen as the favourite to take over at Salford City. Ferguson has gone down from 1/1 to 4/1 for the Leicester job, so surely he is out of the picture.

Foxes fans would you be happy with this appointment at the King Power Stadium?🤔#LeicesterCity #lcfc pic.twitter.com/hGsWHRh5Qj
We are happy to see this appointment done. A good catch, and when everything is confirmed, there will be enough positives to understand that Russell Martin can be the best fit possible. Hopes are he can implement his ideas quickly and effectively. He is an experienced manager, he knows this game in and out.
Hopefully fans will give him a good welcome, and that we all can move forward and forget all the negatives as we did when Nigel Pearson came in and took us straight back up in EFL Championship.
