Who to Follow, World Cup Soon Arrives as Leicester Players and Ex Men Are Involved in International Friendlies

Jordan Ayew captained Ghana in their 1-1 friendly away draw to Wales. Abdul Fatawu was also involved in the game, coming off after first half.

Last Sunday, Harry Souttar was in action for Australia playing Mexico, as the Socceroos lost 0-1 on the day.

Harry Souttar and Abdul Fatawu are the two current contracted Leicester players to be involved in the World Cup, with a number of former players to be involved.

Andrej Kramaric is in the Croatia squad. In their friendly on the 2nd of June vs. Belgium, defeated 0-2, the former Leicester forward entered the field in the 71st minute. Youri Tielemans captained Belgium and scored the opening goal. Timothy Castagne, also in the Belgian squad for the World Cup, stayed on the bench and not playing in this game.

France with N’Golo Kantè among their players, had to see a 1-2 defeat vs. The Ivory Coast. Kantè entered the field at half time, when France had a 1-0 lead.

Algerie, captained by Riyad Mahrez, showed great strength in their 1-0 away win vs. Holland. Chris Wood captaining New Zealand in their 0-4 away defeat to Haiti.

Denmark drew 0-0 vs. Congo. Mads Hermansen was an unused sub on the day. Viktor Johansson was an unused sub for Sweden in their 2-2 home draw with Greece.

Brandon Cover played for Jamaica in their 0-3 Unity Cup loss to Nigeria. Dujuane Richards and Bobby De Cordova-Reid did not play. Nigeria had another team facing Poland away. The game ended 2-2. Wilfred Ndidi captained the team. Calvin Bassey came on as a second half sub. Bartosz Kapustka was an unused sub for Poland.

Bilal El Khannouss in the starting line-up for Morocco when they defeated Madagasker 4-0. Yunus Akgun in the Turkey team, defeating North Macedonia with the same score, 4-0.
