Leicester has signed free agent Danny Ings on a one-year deal. This is according to reliable Telegraph journalist John Percy. news reported early this morning.

Danny Ings is an experienced forward who can play in various attacking roles, preferably as the main striker. He will be a good addition. He is 33 years old and will turn 34 on July 23rd.

He will arrive at Seagrave this week for his medical. Despite a long record of previous injuries, we are hopeful he will pass the test. If fully fit, he could be a valuable player in League One.

Danny Ings played for Sheffield United last season and has Premier League experience with clubs such as Southampton, Burnley, Liverpool, Aston Villa, and West Ham. He is an England international with 3 caps, debuting in 2015 and playing his last match in 2020.

Ricardo Pereira has left Leicester as his contract expired this summer. Reports suggest he may move to Brazil, doing as former Leicester players, Jesse Lingard and Islam Slimani. Lingard is currently at Corinthians, Slimani had a stint at Coritiba in 2023/24.

Ricardo Pereira is accordingly a target for Botafogo, said to be the leading option, with Gremio also interested.

No real surprise to see Ricardo trying his luck in Brazil, having no language barrier to worry about. The best of luck to him on his next chapter, if that is in Brazil, it would be a fantastic experience for the former Leicester captain.
