Leicester have signed Liam Cullen from Swansea for an undisclosed fee. This has been in media since Wales Online broke the news on Tuesday. Their first article was one making it clear that this transfer had the potential of becoming a concrete affair, but at that time far from settled.
Cullen (27) joined the Swansea academy at the age of 8. On 28 August 2018, he made his senior debut as a sub in 1–0 loss to Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup.
He scored his first goal for the club in a 4–1 win against Reading on 22 July 2020, a result which secured them a play-off spot. On 13 January 2022. he joined Lincoln City on loan for the remainder of the season. His first goal for Lincoln would come against Wycombe Wanderers on 12 February.
In March 2023 he was called up to the Wales senior squad for the Euro 2024 qualifying matches against Croatia and Latvia. He made his senior debut for Wales on 11 October 2023 in the 4–0 friendly win against Gibraltar. He scored his first goals for Wales with a brace in a 4–1 home win over Iceland on 19 November 2024 in the UEFA Nations League.
A total of 187 league games, scoring 33 goals became the evident closure for Cullen at Swansea, before making his move to Leicester. He was in action for Swansea vs. Leicester both home and away last season. Cullen came on as a sub in the 1-0 away win at King Power. He started the game at home, defeated 1-3, playing 66 minutes.
Cullen played 40 EFL Championship games last season and scored 5 goals. He has a history with Russell Martin, his former manager at Swansea, and he also played alongside Leicester Assistant Manager Conor Houlihane, who was on loan at Swansea in 2021.

This is a solid signing by Leicester, getting a player that has full international standard as well being a regular starter in EFL Championship in the past. In his prime age as a footballer.
He can operate in different offensive positions and will be of great use for Russell Martin. Cullen penned a three year deal which looks ideal on the journey this club will be on going forward.
