Leicester will face Burton Albion in their first home game this season. After a 1-1 draw against Notts County, it’s crucial to secure three points tomorrow. The Brewers are a team that Leicester should beat at King Power Stadium.

Leicester faced Burton Albion in pre-season and the game was an impressive display, winning 3-0. Will Alves showed his worth in that game, hopefully keeping his form and will be playing an important part.

Burton Albion are expected to be on the lower part of the table this season, possibly happy if they are able to stay up. The drew 1-1 at home to Stevenage in the first game of the season. A week earlier they played Blackburn at home in the Carabao Cup, taking a 1-0 lead after 14 minutes, but had to see a 1-2 defeat in the end.

Again we are expected to see Harry Souttar leading the team out as captain. As it stands at the moment no other club looks to be able of offer what Leicester demand for their defender, so then he is at the club with a contract running until June 2028.

As we said in front of the previous game vs. Notts County, fans again must be patient with this team as it takes some time to blend a new group and hopefully giving Russell Martin time to get this into the shape and form he is trying to.

Nathan Opoku is the latest departure from Leicester, sold to Northampton for an undisclosed fee. Opoku (25) showed promise in pre-season but not tested by Russell Martin in recent games as his move away was expected.

Burton Albion have lost several key players over the summer, with top scorer Jake Beesley joining Bradford City and former club captain Udoka Godwin-Malife signing for Reading.

Leicester do not have any injury issues besides Ben Nelson. Conor Chaplin is expected to be back in contention and hopefully getting his debut tomorrow, either from the bench or being named in the starting line-up.

Burton Albion do not either have much injury issues, missing only Gbemi Kingslyn Arubi, who has been out since July. Former Leicester attacker Tyrese Shade could miss the game as he has with both Blackburn and Stevenage, expected to be moving to a new destination. Burton manager Gary Bowyer will assess the situation up until kick off tomorrow.
