Leicester hierarchy has one tradition, they do not give new managers much time if their start is difficult. We have seen in recent seasons, plugging the trigger on Steve Cooper in Premier League, not even being in the relegation zone, and then going from bad to worse, hiring Ruud van Nistelrooy, who looked totally out of his depth.
Last season, potentially facing a points deduction, Marti Cifuentes had a inconsistent period, before being axed. Then owner Khun Top and his staff made a decision hiring Gary Rowett, who had recently been sacked from Oxford United. He was brought in after assistant Andy King failed to manage the first team, leading to a series of defeats.
We believe Russell Martin will be in charge for the upcoming games until the international break early October. The worries are many, with what has hit the former Rangers and Southampton manager in his early stages of his tenure, but sacking him at this point would be sensational if it happens.
The problem at this football club is the lack of trust given to new men appointed, having little or no patience, believing sacking people is the correct and only solution to a problem. But the way this Leicester team rolled over and just fell apart, despite being dominant in field play, is something no one did see coming. Oxford manager Aaron Ramsey, made Russell Martin look a total fool, not having any solution to these problems, being totally dressed off.
Last season we did see someting of the same. A full collapse of a team performance, almost like a horror show. Having a 3-0 lead at home to Southampton and losing everything inside a few minutes in the end, letting in four goals, after making certain changes and terrible substitutions.
So why all energy just disappeared in a game like this, is a major question. The list of people linked to this manager position, are much the same as we did see from the bookies also before Russell Martin took charge. We do not really see a new appointment coming yet, unless Scott Parker is convinced to take the job.
The other candidates listed are, Darren Ferguson, Christian Fuchs, Dave Challinor and Neil Lennon.

We would be very surprised to see anything happening just yet, but a few more losses in the next three or four games, will of course not be good. What we did see vs. Oxford was shocking as it looked so easy for the opponent to score. It was like Leicester dissappeared from the carpet and just watched on as The O’s pushed forward and lined up four goals.
Looking at the way the club has done their business this summer, we have seen a major downgrade. Caleb Okoli, Wout Faes and Woye Coulibaly are still at the club, but not been involved, despite giving Faes the captaincy in a pre-season friendly. This is a club that has been on a strange ride seeing three relegations in four years.
Constant transition is not ideal and to go up and down between divisions makes everything unstable and difficult to structure, as outside disturbance.
Let’s hope Russell Martin can turn this around with the help of new recruits and soon see a ride similar to what happened vs. Plymouth Argyle.
