Rumours are starting to fly, but it looks as if this transfer window will be dull for Leicester City fans. No players are planned to be sold, and with a number of those fringe men out on season long loans it makes sense.
This first fantastic term of the season has been “easy” coming to injuries with most players fit to every match. What Brendan Rodgers knows that he needs cover. Kelechi Iheanacho, Nampalys Mendy and Filip Benkovic have not seen much first team football at all, but they could all be very important if injuries strikes.
To upset balance and introduce new players in a group that looks so well settled might be a risk, but we all did see Claudio Ranieri doing business during January when the title was won. Players left, Benalouane and Kramaric and two new faces arrived, Amartey and Gray.
There are a number of players linked but so far that is in the soft category. A rumour about Dennis Praet leaving for Fiorentina is also “dead and buried”. There are also great news from the youth set up with a certain George Hirst doing great and that could be a player that soon would see his first team opportunities.
